SummerArts at the Tubac Center of the Arts, in its 23rd year, provides an opportunity for parents to start and continue their children on a lifetime relationship with fine arts and crafts. Artist-teachers are selected whose particular skills include experience and interest in instructing youth. A parent from the 2006 SummerArts program comments : “Thank you to the Tubac Center staff for their dedication to our children’s growth and development. My children have talked to me about how much they enjoy working with the teachers because they are nice and like to teach. They look forward to attending next summer.”
The range of classes will include: painting; pottery and masks; mosaics; enameling; fiber arts; set and stage design; and music and drama on the stage. The schedule is planned on a rotating basis, enabling each student to take each class during the 4-week period.
Fees and class descriptions will be available in spring, 2007.
