Tubac Center of the Arts Membership

Membership in the Tubac Center of the Arts is always open to everyone, artists and non-artists, but of course we especially encourage membership from individuals and businesses engaged in all manners of visual and performing artists.

Tubac Center of the Arts has more than 1,000 regional and national members, a third of whom are participating artists. The Center is governed by a board of directors experienced in the arts, education, law and business management.

Throught the season we feature member, local, regional and national art exhibitions, performing arts, art and cultural workshops, a literary review group, cultural travel, an adult choral group, arts opportunities for children. All of this is available at Tubac center of the Arts, the most inclusive arts organization in the Santa Cruz Valley. From September through May, the Center opens its doors to lovers and creators of art, music, literature, theater and dance...any of the arts...all of the arts.

The Santa Cruz Valley Art Association was established in 1963 by local artists and community leaders. The Association decided to build Tubac Center of the Arts and it was finished and dedicated, mortgage-free, in 1972. The Center continues to provide a professional venue for showcasing and nurturing the arts.

Over the years, the Center has expanded to meet the needs of the growing area, housing three galleries with over 3,500 feet of exhibit space, the Members' Gallery, a performance stage, a Gallery Shop, an art library and conference room as well as offices and storage areas.
