In conjunction with our Smithsonian Spark! Exhibition, join internationally-juried found object artist and jeweler, Brenda Schweder, in a fun and whimsical workshop where we use things as our artist’s paint or clay. What’s Kitschen Sync Arting? A workshop for making art that’s a mash-up of kitsch(en) [of the German; thrown together, quirky, oft times low-brow] and sync [harmonious; arrange into coexistence] – a combination of old to new-old in whatever form you manifest! You’ll make your own recombobulated creations using special items/elements/memorabilia/even trash along with other hunted-and-gathered goodies in a whole new wall art, sculpture or wearable work!
Please note: Advance registration is appreciated. See our visitor guidelines for access accommodations, contact 520-398-2371. For all other inquiries, contact info@tubacarts.org
