Over 40 works of art from the Tubac Center of the Arts Master Artist collection will be on display at the historic copper domed building, built in 1979. Master Artists featured include Francis Beaugureau, Hugh Cabot, Hart Haller (Hal) Empie, Tom Hill, Dale Nichols, Ross Stefan, Mortimer Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Bobb Vann, Trudi Fletcher, Barbra Gurwitz, Virginia Hall, Barbara Hill, and Walter Wilson. These are artists that lived and worked in Tubac and helped to make Tubac known as an art colony where “Art and History Meet”. Arizona elected officials will have an opportunity to enjoy seeing this exhibit as they pass by it on their way to legislative sessions at the state capitol. Many other visitors, school and community groups tour the museum on a regular basis. TCA ‘members or friends planning to be in Phoenix this spring have an opportunity to see this exhibit as well as explore this historic area. Tubac Center of the Arts has partnered with MOAZA, Museum Artists of Arizona, to bring this exhibition to Phoenix. The exhibit will be open to the public on February 9th, with a special reception on February 14th, AZ Statehood Day.
