Mariachi Pueblo Viejo

Founded in May 2021 by Director Manuel Ponce, Mariachi Pueblo Viejo was created to showcase the authentic spirit of Jalisco’s mariachi tradition. Now celebrating 5 years, the group has quickly earned recognition for its musical excellence and passion for preserving Mexico’s cultural heritage. Under the musical direction of Maestro Daniel Rosales and David Gill, Mariachi Pueblo Viejo has performed alongside world-renowned ensembles like Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán and Grammy-winning Mariachi Los Camperos. Highlights include two sold-out Christmas concerts at The Soraya in California and a special performance with Camila Fernández, granddaughter of Vicente Fernández. Mariachi Pueblo Viejo invites you to hear the heart, soul, and tradition of Mexico’s musical legacy—without ever leaving the Old Pueblo.

Mariachi Pueblo Viejo has shared the stage with world-class mariachi groups, including Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán and the Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos de Jesús "Chuy" Guzman. Led by Maestro Daniel Rosales as Musical Director and Manuel Ponce as Director, Mariachi Pueblo Viejo captivates audiences of all ages.
