Larry Redhouse - piano, keyboards: Larry is a jazz pianist and composer, writing most of the material for the Redhouse Family Jazz Band and in his trio and quartet formats. He is the youngest of 6 Redhouse musical siblings and has performed nationally and internationally. Mary Redhouse - bass and vocal: Mary's unique vocal style blends free form, multi-octave scat lines with Native vocables and vocal percussion. Her bass concept is to maintain a complimentary "pocket”. As a vocalist she has performed in duo shows with drummer Andrew Cyrille; with bassists John Lindberg and Lee Gardner; with saxophonist Oliver Lake and in a trio with bassist Michael Formanek and guitarist John Stowell. She toured with the Oliver Lake Quartet to Denmark, Canada, and NYC. On bass and vocals: she worked with the R. Carlos Nakai Quartet, William Eaton Ensemble** (**also played Native flute) and Ananeah. She is a Native American Music Awards recipient and Grammy nominee for her work with these artists. She has played bass with the Larry Redhouse Trio in past years with drummer Lenny Redhouse. Lenny Redhouse - drums: Lenny has played extensively in California, Arizona, and New England. He has performed at The Kennedy Center Jazz Club and The National Museum of The American Indian in Washington DC, proudly representing his Navajo heritage. Lenny studied with renown jazz drummer educator, Alan Dawson, considered to be a leading exponent of modern jazz drumming, having taught many of today's top drummers. Tony Redhouse - congas, percussion: Tony was first placed on stage at 5 years of age with a Native American drum in hand to honor his cultural heritage. During his youth while living in Monterey Bay he was exposed to Latin-Rock, Urban Soul and Pop style Conga drumming from the SF Bay Area which he later became proficient at and fused with Jazz. While living in Phoenix, Tony was one of the Latin percussionist for Raul Yanez's CPR Salsa band and Israel Houghton's, "Shower of Power" TV weekly Gospel music show on TBN. Today he combines his ethnic percussion with Congas & Bongo to create a colorful blend of musical textures for diverse styles of music. He was inducted into the Tucson Musicians Museum (2016) and is the recipient of 5 Native American Music Awards for his solo recordings and collaborations with other artist. Duane Reilley - tenor sax, flute: Duane has played flute, clarinet and saxophone professionally for over 40 years. He received his formal training at Western Connecticut University. Highlights of Duane's career include performances: at the Lincoln Center (NYC), with Nelson Riddle, Gene Krupa and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestras, with Marvin Hamlisch, Diane Carrol, Broadway in Tucson, and Ben Vareen. He has taught woodwinds, music theory and music ensembles for over 35 yrs. Duane currently focuses on teaching, recording, freelancing.
