Trevor Barreoro & Kathryn Lieppman

Trevor Barroero, DMA, currently serves as the Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Director of Percussion at Pima Community College, and Second Percussionist of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he held the position of Principal Percussionist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. A gold medalist of 13 concerto competitions, Dr. Barroero has performed as a marimba soloist in Canada, as guest timpanist with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and as a soloist with The United States Army Band "Pershing’s Own." He has also performed with professional ensembles across the country, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hawaii Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, West Virginia Symphony, and more. He has shared the stage with artists such as Christina Aguilera, Andrea Bocelli, and Halle Bailey, and he has appeared in productions for ABC, Hulu, NBC, and Disney Plus. Kathryn Christensen Lieppman is an Arizona-based pianist and educator recognized for her versatility as a soloist, collaborative artist, and pedagogical specialist. Her performing career is defined by a commitment to diverse repertoire and community connection, ranging from appearances as a soloist with the Sierra Vista Symphony to collaborations with premier ensembles such as the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and True Concord Voices and Orchestra. Kathryn holds a Master of Music from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from Rice University. Her training spans the country’s leading summer institutes, including the Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, SongFest, and New England Conservatory’s Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice. She has served as a staff pianist at Interlochen Arts Camp and returns annually as a Guest Artist-Teacher for the Little Stars Summer Music Program in Nebraska. Her additional faculty experience includes Camp Encore-Coda and the Boise State University Chamber Music Camp.
