Instructor Bio

David Williams

I was born in Dallas, Texas where I lived until I was twenty. After traveling around for many years I settled in Flagstaff, Arizona where I lived for over thirty years. I received my BFA from Northern Arizona University and my MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I was hired by Northern Arizona University in 1998 where I worked as Professor for the School of Art and ran the Printmaking area. I have taught the full range of Print classes which included Bookmaking, Intaglio, Relief, Lithography and Silkscreen from beginning to advanced classes for thirty years. As an artist/printmaker my prints are included in many permanent collections and I have a strong exhibition record. Several of my books have been included in national exhibitions. I retired from NAU in May of 25 and moved to Tubac in November of the same year.
