This class is for beginning clay artists. I will be explaining how to handle wet clay without having a full potter's studio available. I will speak about different aspects of clay, how it is handled and you will make objects that are beautiful and interesting. This class will give you an opportunity to become completely addicted to muddy hands and clay!

Sam Sweetman is a working artist in Southern Arizona. She has created in clay for many years with animals often as the theme of her work. She also has a passion for ancient pottery techniques and often combines her work to include both. Another passion of hers is teaching the joy of creativity to others. Sam has studied with other Master potters and has developed a way with clay that is clearly her own.
