Psychedelic Desert by Sheila Tymon
In this workshop, we will combine the 500-year-old Korean paper layering technique of Joomchi with the ancient textile art of felting—transforming loose wool fibers into nonwoven fabric—to create a vessel and a small wall hanging. Layered Hanji paper and wool fibers produce richly textured, dimensional surfaces that can be enhanced with ink, paint, markers, hand stitching, and beading. All materials are included. Participants are also welcome to visit Viola Jo’s Art Supply to find additional embellishments and decorative materials.
